What is The Play Studio?

The Play Studio space at The FreeRange Lifestyle Centre on Witkoppen Road in Fourways, Johannesburg has closed.

The Play Studio continues to offer messy play parties and pop up events, mini soft play hire for parties and events, play dates with our play studio community and Mama Meet up Events. Our Baby Massage, Tummy Time and Songs & Sensory Play Classes will continue too!

We continue to be committed to offering creative, intellectual and social experiences for babies, children and parents.

Through innovative group activities our approach inspires each child’s inherent love of learning in a fun, creative and enriching environment.

What do we offer?

Messy Play Birthday Parties

We love setting up Messy Play Parties for your children to enjoy!

Our Messy Play parties are best suited for children from 6 months old to 5 years old.

We will set up according to your choice of theme at your venue.

We take care of the mess while you relax and enjoy your event.

Mini Soft Play Hire

We hire out a Mini Soft Play set perfectly suited for 0-2 year olds.

It is R450 for full day hire (08h30-16h30) and a R250 refundable deposit.

Delivery & collection within Fourways (10km radius). If outside of this area, R6 per km will be charged.

Art Parties

Our Art Parties are best suited from 3 years old to 8 years old.

This includes a canvas & paint for each child. We supply the plastic tables and chairs as well as the canvases, easels and paint.

Canvases can be blank or have pictures for the children to paint according to your theme.

Community Play dates

Our Play Studio community is a wonderful family to be apart of and we launched our Community Playdates in April 2024.

We meet a various venues once/twice a month with our children and enjoy each other's company.

Mama Meet Ups

We love supporting Moms.

Join us for a wonderful morning of activities, fun & connection!

As Moms, we very rarely take time for ourselves. This event is a way to do something just for you & meet other moms in our community.

Held in Mother’s Day month to honour our roles as mothers & all that we are & do.

Includes a goodie bag for each mom and the opportunity to win amazing prizes!

The event will be held at NuBeginnings Dynamic Studio at Rustic Timber in Fourways, Johannesburg.

What a lovely place! Michelle, the owner is just amazing. She’s so warm and soft-spoken around the babies and gives sound advise to moms, especially to new moms. I attended the Baby Massage class and the small gestures (mommy quotes and choccies and chai latte) kept me going every week. I’be just started the Tummy time class and she really goes out of her way to make the class themed and fun for babes and moms. Such lovely play areas at the venue and beautiful toys being sold too!
